1)

Right now, pressing the Repeat button will cycle through these modes:

-> Repeat None -> Repeat One -> Repeat Album -> Repeat All ->

My suggestion is that Shift clicking the button will cycle through them in reverse order.

2)

Certain buttons can be both a regular button and a "menu button."

Clicking will have one effect, while clicking and holding (or in Leopard, clicking and dragging "out" of the button) will bring up a menu.

Examples of this are:

-Back/Forward buttons in Safari
click: go Back/Forward
click and hold (or click and drag out): Back/Forward menu

-Home button in Help Viewer
click: go to the home page of that app's help pages
click and hold (or click and drag out): list of all apps' help pages

What I'm suggesting is to have the Repeat button be a button-"menu button."

The menu would obviously be the same as the one at Playlist > Repeat >
although I'd suggest using this order instead

Repeat None
Repeat One
Repeat Album
Repeat All

to be consistent with the order that the Repeat button cycles through the modes.

Thoughts?

It does remember the size, but not the position.

I've noticed this as well.

My way of dealing with it is to manually update: delete the older build first, then unarchive the newer build.
(I keep the TBZs of the older builds anyway.)

When there are no more copies of Cog anywhere, all the "Cog" entries in "Open With" disappear, as far as I know.

Yep, fixed for at least the Artist column. (don't have MP3s with upper/lower case tags handy to test all columns)

But still doesn't work in the Filename and Path columns. (possibly others too, haven't tested thoroughly)

Also, it is still sorted in a case-sensitive manner when adding to the playlist. (which I suspect is related to the Filename/Path columns)

I think it'd be great if you could choose how to arrange (sort) the items in the File Tree Panel.

I imagine a pop-up menu (a.k.a. a "dropdown menu" in Windows terms) at the top of the Panel under the "choose folder" pop-up menu, would do the trick.

For me, it'd mainly be for arranging by Kind so that folders will be grouped together for easier navigation.

Basically, I noticed that when a file does not have any tags, the Title column will display the filename.

Well, that's great and all... except unless the file name is too long and gets cut off where the Title column ends and where the next column begins.

So I was thinking... is it possible that in the event that the file has no tags (ID3 or otherwise), all tag columns** other than Title would become "transparent" such that the filename in the Title column would be able to "go beyond" the end of the Title column and into the other columns.

**tag columns, so #, Status, Length, Filename and Path should not be included

It now works everywhere in the Spotlight Panel, except the search results area.

Fixed in r854.

But it would seem that it still doesn't apply to Genre, Year, and Length in the Spotlight Panel. (talk about random)

It works everywhere else.

This seems to be fixed. smile

If I find anything, I'll let you know.

The new Seek Backward/Forward feature is extremely useful for me, and I'm sure for many others too.

But I feel that 10 seconds may be a little too big of a jump. (Lots can happen in 10 seconds. ;p )

IMO, a 5-second jump would be best: not too big, not too small.

Ah, and here's the opposite:

1) Have Cog in the background.

2) Hold Command* and click the Volume button once.

*note: As you may know, in Cocoa apps, Command clicking things in background windows will allow you to do mouse operations (click, drag, etc.) without bringing the window to the front.

3) Now without holding Command, click the Cog window to bring it to the front.

Now the Cog window is the frontmost window... but it still looks like a background window!

The Close/Minimize/Zoom buttons are not in color, the toolbar has a light gray color, and the shadow is small.
