my cog (nightly 0.06) uses about 50 MB as Real Memory.
I am mentioning this, cause i have quite the same amount of audio-files linked to Cog.
Maybe that could be helpful.

Hi
i am wondering if that behaviour is planned as "it is":
If i minimize the Main-Cog-window and want to show it again it only works if i select the minimized window in dock.
It does NOT work if i select the Main-Cog-Icon in my dock.
The only thing that happens while clicking the main-icon is that Cog is the focused application, BUT without seeing the Main-Cog-window.
Maybe i am not that "clever user", but it happens quite often that my first try to show an application-window (which was minimized to dock) is clicking the main-application icon in my dock, not the lower/or more right located minimized window's.
i hope that description was not that confuzing

afaik amarok gets sall his covers via amazon.com
There was an issue that the player had to delete the covers every 30 days by default, cause of amazon limitations.
But with a quick autoamtic "re-get" function that would be safe and still very user-friendly

How about adding the option to add more then 1 location to the file drawer in Cog's preferences.
Yes for sure in best case a user has all media files in one location, but i cant imagine thats always like that.
i.e. in Cog's preferences -> File Drawer:
a) /Volumes/RAID_a/AUDIO
b) /Volumes/RAID_b/my_other_AUDIO_location
...
...
...

Hi,
first of all...i really like the new File Drawer.
A small idea to optimize it would be adding a "Get Cover" dialog option for a folder selected in the drawer.
i.e.
- the user opens up his File Drawer
- selects folder "my example album XY" with a right-click
- selects the new function "Get Cover" and Cog would contact i.e. Amazon to search a cover.
That cover could be displayed as blend-over if a user scrolls in his file Drawer / music library.
An additional "search-function" in file drawer would be nice too, but i guess thats already mentioned in some other thread.
Those covers could be also displayed in growl while paying tracks.
